Central High School Choir Members Headed to State

The Central High School Choir department will send ten members and four alternates to the All-State Choir auditions at Midland Lee High School on January 7, 2006. This total includes five from the Freshman Center. Twenty-one students participated in the Pre-area auditions on Friday, November 18 at Cooper High School in Abilene. On Saturday, twenty-seven students participated in the All-Region Choir workshop and concert at Hardin-Simmons University. The CHS students who placed in the area choir are:

Soprano 2: Second alternate, Elizabeth Wells; Fifth chair, Kaitlin Wilcox; Fourth chair, Rachel Mariano
Alto 1: Fourth chair; Emily Oostveen; Second chair, Andrea Maciejewski; First chair, Katie Cole
Alto 2: Fourth chair, Jill Cummings; First chair, Emily Joynton
Tenor 1: Second alternate, Edwin Mayer; First alternate, Larry Doyle; Fifth chair; Logan Wright
Tenor 2: Fifth chair, Josh Rodriguez
Bass 1: First alternate, Matt Groth, and
Bass 2: Second chair, Michael Harness

Les Cole is the director at Central High School and Laylan Bratcher is the director at the Central Freshman Center.
