SAISD Partners with Stay ALERT School Safety Hotline

August 30, 2007

San Angelo ISD has a new system for reporting anonymous safety concerns. The Stay ALERT School Safety Hotline is designed to help students and parents feel safer about school. Anyone in the community is encouraged to call when campus safety is in question. The hotline, a 24/7 bilingual voicemail system, asks callers to leave any known information and the location of the incident. The voicemail is then transcribed verbatim and emailed or faxed to the appropriate contact for the school. If the severity of the call warrants immediate attention, the school contact will be notified by phone. The STAY ALERT program aids in creating and focusing on student safety. The toll-free number for Stay ALERT Is 1-888-21-ALERT. The Stay ALERT Program and School Safety Hotline are administered by Edwards Risk Management, Inc.
