Central JROTC Captures 12th in Nation

December 11, 2007

The Central High School Air Force JROTC Presidential Academic Team has been named one of twelve national finalists in the Presidential Academic Challenge. This is the second consecutive year that Central has ranked in the top twelve of over 750 Air Force JROTC units in the nation. Each school that enters the Challenge is allowed a team of five currently-enrolled JROTC students, who prepare for a multiple choice test that includes SAT and ACT questions in math, science, and language arts plus Air Force curriculum questions. This year's Challenge was designed by Disney-MGM Studios and was administered on-line under careful supervision and strict time limitations.

The twelve winning teams will compete for final ranking after the first of the year.

Congratulations to CHS JROTC students Nikkolas Linn, Angelie Wanner, Xaunna Krehn, Kenneth Savage, and Hans Madsen, along with their Challenge coach Lt. Col. Raul Lopez, on this outstanding accomplishment!
