Students from Central and Lake View High School in Jon Marvel's 3D Animation and Visualization class at the West Texas Training Center recently competed at the Tech Prep Fair. Students were tasked with creating 3D animation short films. The theme for the project was "Green" and students could interpret the theme any way they wanted. Seven teams submitted projects that were on display at the fair. The Tech Prep Fair showcases projects by students in a variety of different career and technical courses. The 3D animation project entitled "Vespa Drive By", created by the team of Taryn Anders, Allison Delacruz, Caroline Gates, and Austin Lopez received 1st Place in the Computer Applications category and was Voted Favorite by Tech Prep participants. The 3D animation project entitled "The Simpler Things in Life", created by the team of Andrew Reyes, Shelby Childress, Blanca Hernandez, and Vanessa Valdez received 3rd Place in the Computer Applications category. Congratulations to all students who participated.
