Reagan Elementary to Commemorate 100 Years

Reagan Elementary School will celebrate its 100th anniversary on Friday, October 2, according to Principal Karen Clark. A commemorative ceremony will be held at 9:00 AM in the school's multipurpose building. Special guests will include former Reagan principals. The ceremony will feature performances by the first grade and Reagan's musical group THUMP and a flag dedication with flags provided by The Honorable Drew Darby and The Honorable Michael Conaway. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to the Reagan library for refreshments and tours of the school. Pictures, trophies, and other memorabilia will be on display in the library.

Reagan opened its doors in 1909 as one of four "ward" schools in San Angelo. Currently the campus has an enrollment of 383 and serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.

The public is cordially invited to attend the ceremony and reception that will follow.
