Joann Walter, Joy Gay Elected to State Offices

Joann Walter, SAISD Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE), and Joy Gay, CTE Coordinator, have been elected to state offices in their professional organization, CTAT, the Career and Technology Association of Texas. CTAT serves all Career and Technology Educators across the state.

Joann Walter, who will serve as CTAT President, has been with San Angelo ISD for 29 years, and Joy Gay, who will serve as CTAT Secretary, has been with SAISD for 13 years. They have been in their current positions for the past nine years.

The mission of the Career & Technology Association of Texas is to promote quality instructional partnerships with business and industry to successfully prepare every student for the challenges of postsecondary education, a globally competitive workplace, and active citizenship.

Congratulations to Mrs. Walter and Mrs. Gay on being selected to serve in these offices and representing San Angelo ISD at the state level.
