SAISD Announces Student Seating Changes for Bobcat Home Games
August 31, 2011
The SAISD Athletic Department has announced an entry gate closure and a change in student seating for the Central High Bobcat games held at the San Angelo Stadium. Beginning with the first home game on September 2, and continuing throughout the season, SAISD students and CHS student performing groups will move closer to the home side of the stadium.
Gate 2, on the Northeast side of the stadium, will be closed. Students who have typically entered through Gate 2 will need to enter through Gate 1 on the Northwest side, which is the Verizon parking lot side of the stadium. Parents who drop students off to attend games will now need to drop off at Gate 1. Middle School students and CFC students will have specified seating sections in the horseshoe area of the end zone. The Central Band and Tex-Anns will sit adjacent to the Central Freshman students. The Central High student body will sit in Section G of the home side of the stadium.
The decision to relocate the student groups is based on the UIL policy that each team is entitled to half of the stadium. The move will also provide a more unified fan base for Bobcat games.
