SAISD Students Receive College Board Recognition

San Angelo ISD is pleased to announce several recognitions from the College Board.
From the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, four students have been named Commended Students. They have received Letters of Commendation from National Merit, recognizing their outstanding academic promise. These include seniors Gabriella Wright, Katherine Gilbert, William Dotson, and William Conway.
Based on preliminary SAT scores, National Hispanic Scholars represent the top 5% of high scoring Latino students across the nation. Seniors Gabriel Dunn, Nolan Sosa, Peter Mejia, and Carolina Ramirez have received this honor.

The designation of AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams, which provides 9 college credit hours at most colleges and universities. The SAISD AP Scholars include Rebecca Bingham, Erin Brewer, Jordan Butler, Sam Cheng, Thomas Franco, Rebecca Huteson, Sabrina Lake, Laurence Lasater III, Jeffry Leary, Elaura Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Chesley Mason, Kristopher Mason, Jesus Medrano, Meghan Rogers, Sarafina San Miguel, Joshua Sawyer, Katherine Springer, Elizabeth Teeter, Kristi Tu, Macy Wilcox, Brianna Bishop, Johnathan Carter, William Conway, Vivek Desai, Daniel Dixon, William Gober, Braden Lee, Christopher Mendez, Riley Monk, Joshua Najar, Eric Sanchez, Christopher Serrano, Benjamin Settle, and Brian Signorelli.
The designation of AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams, which provides 12 college credit hours at most colleges and universities. The SAISD AP Scholars with Honor include Cody Bean, Margaret Brothers, Samantha Flores, Nicholas Melott, Abigail Pizana, James Pruitt, Christopher Steadman, Claire Williams, Alaina Young, Gabriel Dunn, Catherine Gilbert, Hunter McSpedden, Natalie Nehls, Donald Peterson, Matthew Roberts, Joyce Saborio, Nolan Sosa, and Allison Gardella.
The designation of AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams, which provides 15 college credit hours at most colleges and universities. The SAISD AP Scholars with Distinction include Elizabeth Blose, Jamie Carriker, Katherine Dean, Emily Gee, Clarissa Humphrey, Nathaniel Maldonado, Michael McEnrue, Elijah McLaughlin, Jessica Moore, Alexandra Nelson, Kaleb Pereira, Jody Shields, Jordan Wegner, Marshall Yale, and Jeffrey Xia.
The designation of AP National Scholar is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams, which provides 24 college credit hours at most colleges and universities. Two students, Elizabeth Blose and Kaleb Pereira, attained this distinction.
