SAISD strives to promote a culture that provides employees opportunities to enhance their personal well-being through increased awareness of the impact of lifestyle choices. SAISD will foster wellness through intelligent use of health care options, role modeling a healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition, and stress management.

SAISD partners with Angelo State University’s fitness and wellness program (ASUFit) and Shannon Health to provide services and resources for the A+ Wellness program. For more information, visit www.angelo.edu/asufit or www.shannonhealth.com.

Heat Related Illness
Heat related illnesses such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat syncope, and heat stroke if you're outside and unprepared during the hot summer months. Just a little preparation using the tips in this video can keep your summer safe and enjoyable. 

Current Wellness Challenge:

Fall Mystery Challenge
November 11-December 13

You will receive via email 5 tasks per week. Each task is worth 10 points. Complete at least 4 tasks each week to get 50 bonus points. The tasks each week will be from: Move Well, Be Well, Eat Well, Work Well and the Mystery Categories. Everyone earning 200 points will get a koozie lunch tote. Contact your campus wellness champion to sign up.

Healthy Hundred

Are you at risk? Metabolic Syndrome is a collection of risk factors that increases your chance of developing heart disease, diabetes or having a stroke. SAISD is partnering with Shannon Health & Wellness and ASUFit to provide a voluntary program for 100 SAISD employees. There is no cost to the employees chosen for this pilot program. This wellness initiative by SAISD will help teach you valuable skills to improve your health and quality of life.
