February 9, 2012

Santa Rita Project:

This project is complete.

Holiman Project:

This project is complete.

Lee Project:

The upstairs renovations are complete and we moved in during the Christmas break. Abatemernt is complete on the front downstairs section and demolition has started.

Goliad Project:

Renovation is moving ahead quickly. The HVAC is up and running and floor tile is 75% complete. Next week the carpet and millwork will go in and we will plan on moving them in over spring Break.

San Jacinto Project:

Renovations on the upstairs is almost complete. We have all carpet in and wainscot tile is almost complete. We have been moving the library to the portable to prepare for the next phase of demolition. We will begin moving teachers next week and should have the move to the upstairs complete in the next two weeks.

Central Project:

Kelton Ag and building maintenance shops: Complete

Tucker Admin/classroom wing: Complete.

Phase 3 Renovations: The Student Service Center is complete and operational.

Renovation at Central is well underway. The old office area is almost complete and we should occupy it Spring Break. This will allow us to begin demolition of the building that is still in front of Tucker and will also free up one portable.

The former counseling center renovation is in the beginning stages because we had some changes to the plan that have just been resolved.

Schweitzer is moving ahead quickly. It will house TexAnns, journalism, art, speech debate, assistant principal and ISS when completed. We plan on moving into that building in June.

Crockett Project:

The new addition is complete and we moved the teachers during the Christmas Break. They are now using this addition for K-3rd grades and the library. Abatement is almost complete and demolition has begun.

Glenmore Project:

Red iron, block walls for the restroom, and exterior stud walls are all complete or almost complete.

Bradford Project:

The Board approved a price for Bradford of $7.2 million. This is about $1.4 million over the original budget. This will allow us to replace all HVAC units that are nearing 20 years old and the roof that is about the same age. We will not be able to enclose all exterior corridors at this time but will enclose the south end to help with safety for the campus. We are doing everything that was in the original bond proposal and then some at Bradford.

Reagan Project:

The upstairs at Reagan continues to progress but we will not make our move-in during Spring Break. We hope to begin the move the first week in April.

Lake View Project:

CMAR proposals have been opened and I anticipate awarding the project in January. We should be able to get underway on the construction documents after the first of the year and should have this bid out by June so construction can begin in the summer.
