Santa Rita Project:

This project is complete.

Holiman Project:

This project is complete.

Lee Project:

Abatement is complete on the downstairs front and will begin on April 9th for the gym and 4 additional rooms in the downstairs area. Demolition has finished and we are putting in the metal studs in the classrooms and counseling center. The administrartive offices will be reconfigured and that work should start very soon.

Goliad Project:

We moved into the two original wings during Spring Break and demolition is well underway on the south wing. The library was moved to the site of the old cafeteria and provides about twice the space of the previous location. With any luck, this project will be complete when school starts in 2012.

San Jacinto Project:

Work is progressing on the downstairs areas of the library, computer lab, and classroom as well as the two 1950’s additions that will house special education classrooms. The walls are going back up, windows are in place in the main building and demolition is almost complete in the 1950’s addition. We anticipate moving back into these areas before school starts next year.

Central Project:

Kelton Ag and building maintenance shops: Complete

Tucker Admin/classroom wing: Complete.

Phase 3 Renovations: The Student Service Center is complete and operational.

Banneker: - We moved the special education classes into the south side of the new Banneker during Spring Break. Demolition on the north side (old counseling center) has been completed and renovations have begun. It will house a special classroom and two computer labs.

Schweitzer: - Renovations are well underway on this building and should be complete by the end of May. The courtyard has been renovated and new restrooms have been established. This building was gutted down to the brick exterior walls and has been rebuilt. It will house art, speech, debate, journalism, TexAnns and ISS.

Crockett Project:

Demolition of the old office area was completed during Spring Break and debris has been removed. Renovations to all three of the original wings is well underway with metal stud walls in place in most areas. Demolition is complete in the old library and old kindergarten wing as well.

Glenmore Project:

Exterior walls are up and bricked and roof is in place. All metal studs are in place on the interior and drywall is being put in place. The tie-in to the old wing is complete and the two classrooms that are impacted have been demoed.

Bradford Project:

Work has begun at Bradford. The drive and parking dirt work has started and the underground utilities are being put in place.

Reagan Project:

Drywall is almost complete and painting has started in the classrooms. Ceiling grid is in and tile is nearing completion in the restroom additions. Some cabinet work has started and will continue for the next few weeks.

Lake View Project:

Design work has begun. I have met with the principal and we have decided on a plan of action. Preliminary plans will go to the contractor this week to get an initial estimate for the project. We hope to have bid documents ready for the contractor around June 1 and should be ready to start construction in late August.
