SAISD to Transition to Electronic Flyer Distribution

On February 28, 2019, San Angelo ISD will launch a new digital flyer communication tool called “Peachjar”. With the new system, flyers will be distributed to parents through email and posted on school websites. Think of Peachjar as an electronic backpack for parents!
This new communication system is part of the district’s ongoing effort to focus resources on education while embracing innovative technology, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and reducing the environmental impact of our activities.
This initiative will save paper and reduce copy costs for our schools and community partners. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.
By default, all parents will be opted-in to the system. No action is required on your part, provided that parent email contact information is up to date with your child's school. As with most email delivery platforms, you will have the option to unsubscribe from the Peachjar service at any time. However, keep in mind that by opting out, you may miss information and announcements pertaining to your child and his/her school events.
When the system launches on February 28, parents will receive a welcome email from Peachjar that includes a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view school digital flyers.
You will also be able to access digital flyers through the Peachjar button that will be placed on the district website and each campus website.
This system will be used exclusively for distribution of district and school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose.
