April 16, 2019

San Angelo ISD’s Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Jeff Bright, was recently re-elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO).

Currently, TASBO has approximately 7,000 members and 27 regional affiliates, representing more than 850 public school districts in Texas. TASBO members learn from subject-matter experts that provide year-round professional development to help their districts succeed. They engage and connect with colleagues at meetings, conferences or online.

“I am humbled and truly honored to be able to give back to the organization that took me under their wings over 25 years ago,” said Dr. Bright. “TASBO has made such an impact on my career and continues to guide and mentor me even today”.

TASBO facilitates networking and idea sharing that allows business officials to solve problems and guide them through regulatory updates, hot topics, and best practices. TASBO provides opportunities to advance leadership skills through mentoring, leadership development and volunteering.

Dr. Bright has served as SAISD’s Assistant Superintendent of Business Support Services for 16 years.
