Brooks Wehner with KFW Architects provided an update on bond construction progress during the December 15, 2025 Regular Board Meeting. His presentation included preliminary schematic drawings showing site plans, elevations, and floor plan for the proposed ticket booth and concession facility serving Lake View High School’s athletic complex.

Lake View High School – Athletic Complex Improvements

• Project Status: Preliminary schematic design (midpoint review)

• Parking Expansion:

  • Approximately 25 new parking spaces will be added near the athletic complex.

• Ticket Booth:

  • Centralized entry point for all spectators

  • Designed to funnel visitors through a controlled checkpoint before accessing the fields

• Concession & Restroom Building:

  • 2,170 square-foot facility serving baseball, softball, soccer, and track events

  • Main concession area will include:

    • Two glass-front beverage refrigerators

    • Food warmers for items such as pizza and burgers

    • Storage space with an ice maker and freezer

  • Public restrooms

  • Dedicated men’s and women’s changing rooms for officials, including private restrooms and lockers

• Crowd Flow & Access:

  • Queuing areas are incorporated at both the ticket booth and concession stand

  • After entry, spectators can access all fields, including sub-varsity events

• Officials’ Access & Parking:

  • Separate parking area located behind the outfield

  • Fencing provides added privacy and security for referees and umpires

Team dressing rooms for visiting teams were discussed and are expected to be addressed as part of the broader high school campus facilities rather than within the scope of this project.
