Crockett Elementary

  • The new classroom addition is expected to receive its certificate of occupancy in time for the start of the 2026–27 school year.
  • Classrooms are substantially complete, with touch-up painting and punch-list work underway.
  • Three of the new classrooms will be used this school year, with the remaining space available to accommodate increased enrollment in the future.
  • Work continues on the new kitchen and cafeteria, which are expected to be completed before the end of August.
  • The campus will continue using its existing fully functioning kitchen and cafeteria until the new facilities are complete.
  • Playground areas are ready for use, and additional exterior work, including handrails and parking improvements, continues.

McGill Elementary

  • Construction continues on the new administrative, nurse and library addition.
  • Structural steel is going up and roof decking is being installed.
  • Concrete slabs are being poured for the classroom addition, making the overall footprint of the expanded campus more visible.

New Glenn Middle School

  • The project is reaching another major milestone as the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) moves forward for approval, allowing construction to begin.
  • The construction trailer is already on site, with crews prepared to begin moving dirt following approval.
  • The project is currently approximately $3 million under its construction budget, with additional contingency funds outside of that amount.
  • Portions of the city's design review have already been approved, helping the project remain on schedule.
  • New renderings highlighted the two-story commons, library, competition gym, weight room, classrooms and main entrance.
  • The commons will feature natural light through durable translucent fiberglass roof panels designed to provide insulation and withstand severe weather.
  • The new competition gym will include bleachers on both sides, cross-court configurations and controlled natural lighting.

Lake View High School

  • The project is moving into the construction phase.
  • Portable facilities and site fencing are in place.
  • Visible site work and dirt movement are expected to begin as construction activity increases.

Central High School

  • Design refinement continues for the Health Science and Culinary Arts instructional spaces based on recent meetings and planning.
  • The campus water line relocation has been completed, removing the active main water line that previously ran through the middle of the campus.
  • Early demolition and preparation work has begun in areas of the campus ahead of the next phase of construction.
  • Updated renderings highlighted the new cafeteria entrance, auditorium, gymnasium, commons area and auditorium lobby.
  • The new auditorium is being designed with improved acoustics, lighting, curtains and other performance systems.
  • The new gymnasium will provide significantly more spectator capacity than the current facility.
  • Site improvements will also address longstanding drainage issues through new grading and drainage work across portions of the campus.
