Brooks Wehner with KFW Architects provided an update on 2025 Bond construction progress during the August 24, 2026 Regular Board Meeting, including work at Lake View High School and Fannin Elementary.

Lake View High School Concession Building

• Construction is underway after the building permit was received earlier in August.
• Under-slab plumbing has been installed for restrooms, sinks, mop sinks and other fixtures, and the trenches have been backfilled with flowable fill.
• The building pad has been prepared.
• Installation of under-slab electrical conduit is nearing completion. The new electrical service will feed a transformer that will serve both the concession building and new site lighting.
• Crews are expected to begin setting forms and tying rebar for the concrete slab.
• Demolition has begun in the parking lot for a new curved concrete median that will include new parking lot pole lighting.

Fannin Elementary

• Construction fencing is in place, portable buildings have been removed and Lee Lewis Construction has established its job trailer on site.
• The dirt contractor is scheduled to begin site work, including preparation of the building pads for the new cafeteria and 12-classroom addition.
• Work that does not require a building permit can proceed while the project team continues working with the City of San Angelo through the permitting process.
• The permitting process was divided into three separate applications at the city's request: the site permit, cafeteria building permit and 12-classroom building permit.
• KFW Architects and Lee Lewis Construction continue responding to city review comments and revisions as they work toward final permit approvals.
• The current scheduled completion date for the Fannin Elementary project is July 15, 2027.
