Clear Bag Policy for San Angelo Stadium

San Angelo ISD continually reviews its safety and security policies across the district, looking for ways to improve. This proactive measure will enhance safety inside and outside the stadium. 

No. The only non-clear bags permitted are small bags (with or without a strap) not exceeding 4.5” x 6.5” and no larger than the size of a hand. Purses larger than this are not permitted.

No. We are limiting only the type of bags carried into the venue, not items that you normally bring to a game. Therefore, you may carry items in your pockets or jacket (keys, makeup, feminine products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards, etc.) if you choose not to put them in a clear bag or clutch. You also may carry a blanket over your arms, and binoculars and/or a camera around your neck or in your hands (without the case). You may use the clear bag and clutch to carry other items. You will continue to have the flexibility to bring a wide variety of approved items into the venue. Every member of your family may carry in a permissible bag.

Fans will not be allowed to enter the stadium with a non-conforming bag. Fans will be asked to return items to their vehicle.

One large clear bag - either a one-gallon resealable style bag OR a 12” x 6” x 12” clear bag plus a small clutch not exceeding 4.5” x 6.5”. The small clutch allows for privacy for small personal items.

Diapers and non-medically necessary items for babies and young children must be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse into the stadium.

Fans are permitted to bring in their own stadium seats or chairbacks provided the seats do not have any pockets or zippers and do not exceed 12”x12”x18” inches.

Fans can bring blankets into the stadium by holding them or tossing them over a shoulder or arm.

There will be an exception specifically for “credentialed” individuals in the media who bring bags that do not meet the policy guidelines. However, their bags will still be searched prior to entry and only bags that pass the inspection will be allowed into the stadium.

Currently, at this time, the clear bag policy applies only to San Angelo Stadium.
