SAISD to Host Virtual Pre-K/Kindergarten Round-Up

San Angelo ISD will be accepting online applications for its full-day pre-K and Kindergarten programs May 4-8, 2020 during the annual SAISD Kindergarten/Prekindergarten Round-Up. SAISD's Pre-K and kindergarten offer 4 & 5 year-old students the opportunity to attend a high-quality program that will build a strong foundation of learning.

A link to this year's online registration application will be posted on the SAISD website on Monday, May 4.

To be eligible for enrollment in kindergarten, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2020.

Parents should be prepared to upload the following documents in order to register their child for kindergarten:

• Child's official birth certificate (Click here to order a Texas birth certificate online)
• Social Security card (Click here to order a replacement social security card)
• Updated immunization record (Click here for a list of required immunizations)
• Proof of address (electric, water, gas bill, or lease/rental agreement)

To be eligible for prekindergarten, children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2020 and must also meet ONE of the following requirements:

• unable to speak and comprehend the English language
• homeless, foster child
• meet federal income guidelines
• military eligibility
• is or has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family & Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code

Parents should be prepared to upload the following items in order to register their child for prekindergarten:

• Social Security card (Click here to order a replacement social security card)
• DOD Identification (Military ID or orders)
• Updated immunization record (Click here for a list of required immunizations)
• Proof of address (electric, water, or gas bill)
• Verification of current income (last paystub of guardians in the home) OR *SNAP/TANF/ EDG#

While kindergarten is offered at all SAISD elementary schools, prekindergarten is only available at select campuses. Full day prekindergarten programs are available at Alta Loma, Austin, Belaire, Bradford, Fannin, Glenmore, McGill and Reagan Elementary Schools. Bilingual (Spanish) Pre-K programs are offered at Bradford and Glenmore Elementary Schools. For more information about the San Angelo ISD Prekindergarten program, click here.

To find out which prekindergarten campus your child will attend, first determine your home campus and then refer to the Feeder Chart on this page or on the flyer below.  To ensure placement at the Pre-K campus serving your elementary school zone, be sure to register during spring or summer Pre-K registration. Students registering after this time will be assigned to a campus based on availability.
