San Angelo ISD Announces High School Morning Bus Transportation and Updated Bell Schedules to Begin January 3, 2023

San Angelo ISD will begin morning bus transportation for high school students, grades 9-12, at Central High School, Central High School on Oakes, and Lake View High School, starting on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 with the beginning of the second semester. The District will provide transportation for both morning and afternoon routes for all eligible students from January 3, 2023 to May 26, 2023. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we worked through this challenging situation. We encourage our students and families who use bus transportation to view our InfoFinder system to check  for any potential changes to our routes, pick up and drop off times, and bus stops. 

Additionally, we announce modified daily bell schedules for Central High School, Central High School on Oakes and Lake View High School starting January 3, 2023 for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. Based on feedback from stakeholders, the decision was made to adjust high school start and end times beginning in the second semester of this school year. The new high school start time will be 7:50 am with the first warning bell sounding at 7:40 am. Release times will be 4:02 pm for Central High School (Main and Oakes) and 3:57 pm for Lake View High School. 

In order to accommodate the revised high school bell schedules and to provide ample time for drop-off for families and staff members with students in lower grade levels, our middle schools will be open for morning drop-off as early as 7:30 am starting January 3, 2023.

San Angelo ISD will continue with the modified high school calendar for the 2022-2023 school year which includes some additional High School Student Early Release Days on designated Fridays and 3 additional High School Professional Learning Days/high school student holidays for high schools.
