San Angelo ISD Opens Enrollment and Transfer Application for the 2024-2025 School Year

At San Angelo ISD, we’re growing hopes and dreams! As a public school district, we welcome all students who live in San Angelo and surrounding communities. SAISD is pleased to open our enrollment and transfer application for new and returning students entering grades pre-k through 12 for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, and to provide a relevant and inspiring education to the future of San Angelo. 

Enrollment can be completed from any web browser or smartphone. Parents can digitally upload documents required to complete enrollment such as birth certificate, proof of residence, social security card, and immunization records in PDF, JPEG, and other standard file formats.

New to SAISD Students 

Parents of new SAISD students will complete a “New Student Registration Form”. Students who must complete the New Student Registration Form include: 

  • New pre-k and kindergarten students
  • Students who are new to San Angelo
  • Students of any age/grade who will be attending a SAISD school for the first time
     

Parents can determine which school their student is eligible to attend by entering their address into these attendance boundary maps. This information will be helpful while filling out your “New Student Registration Form”.

Additionally, families with students who ride the bus can find bus routes and stops by entering their address in our Infofinder system

Returning SAISD Students - Verification of Enrollment 

It is required to complete the “Returning Student Verification Form” in order to confirm your student’s information or update any information that may have changed. SAISD uses this information to contact parents during emergency situations including weather or safety issues, or collect important medical information to keep your student safe and healthy during the school day. If any of this information has changed, please be sure you have the proper documentation or information handy to complete the form including your student’s Doctor contact information or insurance information. 

Parents can access the “Returning Student Verification Form” through their Home Access Center (HAC) account. If you do not know your username or password or need to create a HAC account, please follow these instructions

You will find the “Returning Student Verification Form” within HAC on the “Registration” page. From the Registration page, select the “Update Enrollment” tab and click the “Start” link next to “Returning Student Verification” form. The enrollment process will need to be completed for each returning student in your household. To verify enrollment for a different student, select their name from the drop down menu in the top right corner of HAC. The language preference of your “Returning Student Verification Form” can be changed by clicking the globe icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen. 

Please note that while the “Returning Student Verification Form” can be completed on a mobile device, parents will need to login to HAC from a mobile browser rather than the mobile app in order to access the form.

Transfer Window for the 2024-2025 School Year

The transfer application window for the 2024-2025 school year is now open. Transfer applications will be accepted from April 1, 2024 through May 17, 2024. No new applications for transfers will be accepted after May 17, 2024.

All current transfer students (those currently enrolled at a school outside of their designated attendance zone) and students requesting a new transfer must complete a transfer application each year. Transfers are not guaranteed and are good for one school year only. Students enrolled in the Bilingual program or Gifted and Talented (GT) will need to complete the transfer application each year. Parents will be notified by email of Approval/Denial/Placed on Hold status of their Transfer Application no later than June 7, 2024. 

A link to the transfer application is contained within the “New Student Registration Form” and the “Returning Student Verification Form”. 

  • While completing your students enrollment form, you will find the transfer application link on the “Student” page after you have completed adding your student’s information.
  • The link will appear under the “Enrolling School” dropdown.

In San Angelo ISD, we believe students receive a quality education regardless of the SAISD campus they attend but also understand there are times when parents desire for their child to attend a school other than the campus of their attendance zone for various reasons.
