“The San Angelo ISD Athletic Department would like to welcome Balmorhea and Richland Springs fans to San Angelo for the 1A Division II State Championship ball game,” said SAISD Executive Director of Athletics Rodney Chant. “We are grateful that they have chosen this City and San Angelo ISD to host such a prestigious event for your school districts and communities.”
Tickets will be available for advance purchase for $7 for adults and $5 for students online beginning at 8am on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at this link: https://www.etix.com/ticket/e/1016499/balmorhea-bears-homevsthe-richland-springs-coyotes-visitor-san-angelo-san-angelo-isd. Teams often attempt to find a neutral location for playoff games, and San Angelo ISD welcomes the opportunity to support UIL programs while benefiting the local economy. Visitors attending the games may purchase goods and services from local businesses including eating and getting gas, which also means more money from sales tax for the community.
This year UIL is celebrating 100 years of sanctioned high school football in Texas. Details are available at the UIL State Football Program link here: https://www.uiltexas.org/football/state/2020-2021-state-program
