Summer Meal Program Provides Nutritious Meals to San Angelo Area Kids for Free

Our children need nutritious meals to learn, grow and thrive- even when school is out. With the Summer Food Service Program, children and teens ages 18 and younger can continue to eat healthy meals, including breakfast, lunch and a snack, throughout the summer at no cost, just by showing up at a participating meal site. Free meals will be available starting June 2nd through July 2nd at participating sites in San Angelo ISD and June 7th through July 2nd at our local Boys and Girls Clubs.

To participate in the free summer meals program, children ages 18 and younger may simply show up at a program site during the scheduled times. Children do not have to be classified as economically disadvantaged to participate, and there is no paperwork to complete.  Meals will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

A complete list of serving sites, dates, times, and a weekly menu for the Summer Meals Program are available above in the picture slide show.

Funding for the summer feeding program comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Texas Department of Agriculture. This will be the 28th year that San Angelo ISD has participated in offering summer meals.
