In honor of San Angelo READS! Day and in recognition of the importance of literacy in our community, the Tom Green County Library has generously expanded access to their digital library until August 31, 2021 and free physical library cards for two years for all San Angelo ISD students. In September 2020, San Angelo ISD announced a partnership with the Tom Green County Library to provide free access to 1000s of e-books and audiobooks to SAISD students through the Sora reading app. This new expansion of access for San Angelo READS! gives our students the ability to access additional books, resources and more through the Tom Green County Library.
The digital library allows our students to access the entire Tom Green County Library electronic catalog, educational database, movies to stream, and the complete catalog of audio and e-books. Students can register for their free digital library card through the below link by providing the students name, parents name, and a phone number or email address.
Students can also receive their free physical library card by dropping into any Tom Green County Library location accompanied by their parent or guardian with a parent/guardian photo ID and proof of address. The Tom Green County Library has three locations and they are open to the public for one two-hour visit per day.
