[WEATHER UPDATE] Central HS Football Game Delay

Update 7:44pm:

Tonight’s Central High vs. Midland High football game has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 2 p.m. Gates will open at 1 p.m. 

Senior recognition will not take place at the game tomorrow. The campus and boosters are working together to reschedule the activities. 

Stay tuned for any further updates. Thank you for your patience and support.

Update 6:35pm:

The Central vs Midland High game is still under lightning delay and stadium gates still closed.  The intention is to play the game this evening after weather has moved out of the area.

Senior Night activities are canceled for tonight’s Central HS football game and will be rescheduled.

Tonight’s Central High School vs. Midland High School football game has been temporarily delayed due to lightning in the area. The safety of our players, fans, and staff is our top priority.

Dear San Angelo ISD Families,

San Angelo ISD and Bowie Elementary School administrators are aware of a social media post circulating that references “Bowie” and has caused concern among families. We want to reassure you that this post is related to another school in a different city with a similar name — not our Bowie Elementary School or any school in San Angelo ISD. At this time, there is no known threat to any San Angelo ISD school or student.

We appreciate those who reached out to share their concerns and thank you for helping us keep our schools safe by reporting potential issues. While there is no current threat, please know we take all safety concerns seriously and will always fully investigate and pursue any report involving student or staff safety.

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we are grateful for your continued trust and partnership in keeping our schools safe.
