Update: San Angelo ISD and Central High School in collaboration with San Angelo Police Department determined there is no active threat to Central High School following their investigation this afternoon, Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Information Concerning Social Media Post Regarding Central High School

This afternoon, April 18, 2024, San Angelo ISD and Central High School received a report of a concerning social media post. District leaders and campus administrators are investigating in conjunction with the San Angelo Police Department. This investigation is currently ongoing, and SAISD will continue to work directly with SAPD. The campus is secure and the students are safe. San Angelo ISD will provide updates as we receive them through our SAISD Safety page and SchoolStatus Connect. 

The safety of our students is our first priority. We take all matters of this nature seriously and will follow procedures outlined in our Student Code of Conduct. We encourage everyone to report threats of any kind to a district or school official, local law enforcement, or report the concern on our district StayAlert link on the SAISD website. We appreciate the collaborative effort between the school and law enforcement.
